The website grew out of the popular blogs on boilers and heating written by founder Jo Alsop. Overtime her open & honest guidance attracted a national audience and in 2018 she launched The Heating Hub website.
The site is aimed squarely at improving the consumer’s experience of the heating industry.
She explains “Buying a new boiler is not fun. We don’t want to do it, but we don’t want to make a mistake either because it is expensive. So we have to engage with a topic that is difficult to understand.
To make matters worse, Jo argues it is difficult for consumers to find objective information.
“There is much hidden bias in the heating industry. Glossy marketing campaigns and websites that promote only a few brands influence our buying decisions and it is hard for consumers to truly find the best product for them.”
She goes on “The Heating Hub is here to make it easier to find the best boiler for any budget without bias. We compare 100s of boiler and heating products side by side to make research quick & easy. We also provide guide on the best products using efficiency criteria"
In addition the website provides a directory of local heating business that visitors can access. Supporting local heating businesses is a matter close to Jo’s heart.
