Product Description

The School is a conservatoire drama training, set up by long-serving staff members of The Poor School, to continue the ethos of an affordable drama school, accessible to as many as possible. We offer a two year acting training and short courses. Classes are structured around evenings and weekends, allowing students to work and earn whilst they train. There is no upper age limit and we welcome talented students from all backgrounds and walks of life. Ours is a robust and rigorous actor training and covers classical, contemporary and acting-based musical theatre. The course includes voice and movement training, acting and character study, singing, dance and stage combat alongside working with directors on scenes and full plays in a variety of different styles. The two year training culminates in a public season of plays and two industry showcases and graduates are eligible to join Spotlight and Equity.
